Dear NITA Friends,
This memorial appropriately salutes not only Dave’s love of teaching, but also his recognition that video and on-line content will increase soon and quickly, and can contribute to the learner’s experience. As a teacher who used video lectures in connection with his NITA books, Dave and his co-author Peter Hoffman contributed to NITA’s first video-enhanced e-book with over thirty embedded videos that address the skills and tips discussed in the text. Dave was a prolific author of NITA books and guides, and the recipient of the 1995 Robert E. Oliphant Service to NITA Award. We at NITA had looked forward to more online learning work with Dave. To honor his memory, I invite you to make a gift to the NITA Foundation’s new memorial. Gifts will be used by NITA to continue this work, with the conscious purpose of research, development, and execution of means to innovate, adopt, and expand online learning offerings. You may use the following secure link www.nita.org/Donate to make a tax-deductible donation to the Innovative Online Learning Fund. Please indicate your gift is in memory of Dave Malone and it will be applied to the Malone Innovative Online Learning Memorial. If you wish, you may instead mark on your check that it is in memory of Dave Malone, and send it to my attention at the following address: The NITA Foundation1685 38th Street, Ste. 200 Boulder, Colorado 80301-2735 Thank you for your loyal support to NITA and the NITA Foundation.
